New York

About a month ago I took a trip to New York City with my friend Brienne. We had already been to New York several times together over the years; I was with Brienne when I saw my first Broadway play: Les Miserables. So we went this time to get a break from daily life :-) and to see another play! It was a great time and we hope to make this a monthly occurrence :-) I wish! The only thing I think we both wish we could have changed was the temperature. It was freezing! But maybe we should just be glad it wasn't 30 degrees and raining or something.
Our hotel lobby. The hotel was in a great location! We were only about a 5 minute walk to the theater.
The view from our hotel room.
And the nighttime view...
Eating at the Shake Shack! It was an adventure getting a table there but it was worth it! So good.
One of my favorite things about this trip was getting to eat wherever we wanted.

Last picture of food, promise. I actually brought these home to share with Kevin. Vanilla coconut and a red velvet. The vanilla coconut was to die for.
See that black section underneath the Hyundai sign? That is a restaurant called Two Times Square and Kevin and I ate there when we went to NYC for our fourth anniversary. We also saw Wicked on that trip. (my favorite Broadway play)

Newsies! It was so good!!! I came home and watched the movie a few days after and was so disappointed. I still love Christian Bale but the singing and dancing in the movie were nowhere near as good as the play. Especially the dancing.
Is this pic upside down? Oh well, too lazy to fix it. This is inside the theater.

I guess one more pic of food, sorry. My dream come true...peanut m&ms.

I took this picture (and a lot of videos) for Pierce and Tyson. The t-rex was very realistic and moved and roared all the time.
There was a Ferris wheel inside of Toys R Us!
These Lego statues were awesome!

After having  been to NYC once for New Years, I always find the ball to be disappointingly small.
I just thought the hand was cool...

I took a lot of pictures of these guys for the kids.
